The rust-coloured mark under a light-coated dog's eye is porphyrin, a pigment carried in tears. It stains the fur where it sits and darkens further in daylight, which is why the mark looks worse by the end of the week than it did on Monday.
The important thing to understand is that the stain is in the coat, not in the eye. Wiping the area regularly keeps the damp down and supports a cleaner coat over time. It does not change whatever is producing the tears in the first place.
These are sized and textured for the job — small enough to work in the corner of the eye and along the fold beneath it, soft enough to use on a face without a fight. Work outward from the inner corner, use a fresh section of the wipe for the second eye, and dry the fur afterwards, because damp fur is what lets the stain set.
Two hundred to a tub, in one, two or four-pack options.
One thing worth saying plainly: a sudden change in the eye itself, or a sharp increase in how much it runs, is a vet visit rather than a wipe. These are for maintenance on a healthy dog, not for a new problem.
